Infused 3’600’000ms

multimedia performance on two locations and live stream from the University Hospital Zagreb

Francisco and Goran met at a party. They clicked right away, and soon started dreaming about a joint project.

Concert stream that the live audience is receiving in Gorgona (MSU) concert hall will be available at https://twitch.tv/infused36000000

Infused 36’000’000ms explores the theme of Broken Relationships by bringing together three somnolent locations in Zagreb: the defunct Brodarski Institute (Shipbuilding Institute), the unfinished University Hospital Blato and the Gorgona Hall of the Museum of Contemporary art. To experience the live performance, it is possible to choose between two locations – the Brodarski Institute or the MSU. The third location, the abandoned hospital Blato, will act as an intermediary in the process of transformation, and will remain empty.

At the Brodarski Institute, the ELISION ensemble will perform a piece of music, which will be broadcasted live at the hospital. There, a CRT television set and sound system reproduce the recording, but analogue effects and environmental influences gradually distort the original material. This manipulated version is then sent to the MSU, where it is projected onto a big screen, transforming into a fragmented, reinterpreted experience – an experimental real-time film reflecting the fragility and evolution of communication in the digital age.

By connecting these locations, the project revives forgotten spaces and re-examines the relationship between raw information and its perception. Distortion becomes a metaphor for interrupted channels of communication, while simultaneously exploring the connections between these spaces and the people, as well as their past, present, and unfulfilled promises. Through audiovisual manipulations and digital transmission, Infused 36’000’000ms opens up a space for new connections – reflections on lost meaning, transformation, manipulation and reinterpretation.

Argentinian artist Francisco Uberto shapes his work using intuition. His music engages with emotions, expectations and sensations within non-narrative sound compositions. Francisco’s oeuvre is diverse, ranging from solo pieces to orchestral compositions, with or without electronics, all the way to multimedia projects. He studied composition in Argentina (UNC), France (CNSMD Paris and IRCAM) and Switzerland (ICST - ZHdK).

Goran Nježić is a video artist from Sisak. After graduating from the Academy of Applied Arts in Rijeka, he continues to work on the Croatian independent art scene as a filmmaker and musician. He was the drummer for rock band Punčke, and now plays music with ###. He is also active in the medium of experimental and narrative film.
