ASMANGU – ontemporary music ensemble of the students of the Music Academy

The concert program features pieces by former composition teachers at the Music Academy, which the ASMANGU will perform to celebrate the centenary of the foundation of this educational institution.

The three composers on the program share a common “thread”: Milo Cipra was a professor to Marko Ruždjak, while Marko Ruždjak was a professor to Ivana Kiš – three branches/generations of a single tree, the Department of Composition at the Music Academy in Zagreb.

ASMANGU, new music ensemble of the students of the Music Academy, was founded in the academic year 2016/17 at the Music Academy of the University of Zagreb. The desire and objective of this Ensemble is to organize three concerts of music of the 20th and 21st century in one year, during two semesters. .
