Black Page Orchestra

The Viennese ensemble Black Page Orchestra chooses “radical and uncompromising music of today” for its repertoire. They focus on compositions that use electronics, video technology and other technologies in an artistic context, as well as performance-oriented pieces.
They will appear at the Biennale thanks to the program collaboration with the Ulysses Project, a European network that promotes young composers and performers, and the Austrian Society for Contemporary Music (ÖGZM).
In addition to the newer pieces they have already performed – compositions by Alexander Schubert, Alexander Kaiser and Mirela Ivičević – they will perform for the first time a piece by Dutch author Aart Strootman and compositions by Croatian authors Ivana Kuljerić Bilić and Alen and Nenad Sinkauz.
