NAE Collective continues their tour with the project ‘Nature Amplified’

After premiering at the KotorArt International Festival in July 2024, NAE Collective performed at the Festival of New Sound in Sinj. The project will also be presented at the Biennale in April.

NAE Collective combines natural processes with innovative musical and visual expression, pushing the boundaries of experimental art. Nature Amplified explores the alienation of modern humans from nature. Data collected from natural processes (such as wind speed and ground tremors) are used as the basis for a live multimedia performance. These data are sonified and manipulated across various parameters of electronic media using different programming languages.

NAE Collective was founded in 2022 in Zagreb. Members include composer and live electronic music performer Tomislav Oliver, cellist Vid Veljak, percussionist Filip Merčep, and clarinetist Branimir Norac. They were later joined by drummer and sound artist Boy van Ooijen, new media artist Tin Dožić, and video artist Goran Nježić.

The project is co-funded by the European Festivals Fund for Emerging Artists (EFFEA). This initiative by the European Festivals Association (EFA) supports emerging young artists.
