Pierre Jodlowski
Pierre Jodlowski is a composer, performer, and multimedia artist whose high-density music merges acoustic and electronic elements with dramatic and political themes, bridging contemporary, electroacoustic, jazz, and rock genres. His work spans multiple disciplines, including dance, theatre, and visual arts, and has been presented worldwide with prominent ensembles such as Intercontemporain, Ictus, and MusikFabrik. Since 1998, he has co-directed éOle, an experimental studio in Toulouse, and has led the Musica Electronica Nova Festival since 2019. Jodlowski is currently the associated composer for the Composition Cursus at IRCAM.
He has received several prestigious awards, including the Prix Claude Arrieu SACEM in 2002 and the Prix Hervé Dugardin SACEM in 2012, as well as recognition from the Academie Charles Cros in 2013 for one of his CDs and the Great Lyceum Prize in 2015 for his piece Time & Money. His compositions are partly published by Editions Jobert and featured in numerous recordings. Jodlowski currently resides in France and Poland.
