Join us for new performances of The Singing Stories and opera rosa!

Opera rosa, an opera for babies will be performed again on May 27th and 28th as part of the Knjige u Krošnjama festival in Youth Culture Centre "Ribnjak"

Set up as a live installation, in a pleasant, safe and soft space, opera rosa invites children to move freely and explore the world of music, sound and movement, created just for them.

Using the common three-part structure, it begins with the night, quiet, gentle and warm both musically and contentually, continues with the morning, the awakening and birth of light, and ends with the day, the celebration and play. We use babies' familiar everyday routine to help them discover a completely new world. Four female interpreters, each through her own medium (voice, movement, instrument) take us on a journey from dream to play, from dark to light, from abstract to concrete, from voice to word.

On Saturday, you can also catch the concert presentation of The Story of Bugs from the audiobook The Singing Stories

The concert performance of the musical adaptation of the Ukrainian nursery rhyme The Story of Bugs is part of MBZ's  humanitarian and artistic project The Singing Stories. Prompted by the situation caused by the war in Ukraine and the circumstances in which children often lose their favorite stories needed for joy and comfort, in cooperation with the Solidarna Foundation, the book&zvook platform and the Croatian Literary Translators' Association, The Singing Stories project has been launched, which you can still support by purchasing an audiobook. All proceeds will be donated for further education of children from Ukraine who are in Croatia.
