Jazz improvisation

In the current solo repertoire, Kaja is diving into microtonal possibilities and using the piano as a speaker with recordings played “through” it. She strives for each of the compositions to be a world in itself, with its own language, vegetation, weather, logic. Like in her past work, she is interested in moving seamlessly between the composed and the improvised sections, with attention to timbre and structure. This program is going to be documented on her second solo studio album, released with Unsounds in the near future.
