The Polish-French composer Elżbieta Sikora (Lwow/Lviv, 1943) will talk about her Half a Century of Composing, present her opus, but also talk about living „between“ East and West.
The composer introduces herself with the following words:
„Music is everywhere. In the gusts of wind, in the rain pounding the windowsill, in the rhythm of architectural forms, in the flight of birds, in people’s conversations on the underground trains, in the drubbing of carriages on the rails, in the din of machinery, in the shouting of crowds, in the words one reads. I listen and search, constantly. I observe, write down, record, and try to remember. This is how I recharge my batteries.“
