Image Library at the Days of Milko Kelemen
Image Library is an exhibition, which in only 10 days (6 - 17 April 2011), set in the Museum of Contemporary Art in Zagreb, through image, video and photo represented the most challenging, unforgettable and anthological moments, persons and projects of the Music Biennale, and in thus celebrated 50 years of this Zagreb's international festival of contemporary music. Replacing a big, hard cover monograph, the exhibition has found itself in problems because with the specifics of its medium, it is impossible to turn its pages - it actually depends on the exhibition space and it must be mounted.
But just next week that will happen to the Image Library. It will be shown in the Heritage Museum of Slatina, from the 12th to 22nd of October, as a part of the 16th international musical festival Days of Milko Kelemen, who was one of the Music Biennale Zagreb's initiator back in 1961. In co-organization with the Museum of Contemporary Art, which is also celebrating 50 years of the first exhibition of the New tendencies this year, whose initiator than was the Gallery of Contemporary Art, the exhibition Image Library will once more tell and show the story of art, of connections between music and visual arts, of tradition and action, of everything that has marked art and society in the second half of the 20th century.
